(SC&RA eNews, September 18, 2019)- The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Foundation has changed its approach and philanthropic model based on a new strategic plan. Objectives from the new plan include workforce development, advocacy-driven research and strategic communications. The SC&R Foundation’s new mission states:
The SC&R Foundation, a nonprofit organization serving the crane, rigging and specialized transport industry, supports workforce development, provides educational assistance and conducts research to advance growth and opportunities within the industry.
The Foundation’s activities are guided by a strategic plan similar to the Association. The plan identifies the Foundation’s core interests, key strategies and objectives, and when appropriate, directs the approach to evaluating the effectiveness of its work. The Foundation generally undertakes a review and update of its strategic plan every four to six years. The last strategic planning meeting was held in March 2019 and the plan was approved by the Foundation’s Board of Directors this summer.
