Educational Assistance Committee

The Educational Assistance Committee is charged to develop a scholarship program for both collegiate and vocational/technical financial assistance that is valuable and useful to the industry and member companies.

The committee is responsible for establishing a mechanism for soliciting, qualifying, selecting and awarding scholarships to qualified candidates. Additionally, the committee oversees the Partners in Education program with training companies to offer more than $150,000 in free tuition for training to applicants through the scholarship application process. Research Committee

The Research Committee is charged with review of potential research projects and development of resources and tools and make recommendations to the SC&RF Board for approval. The committee is also tasked with creating and overseeing curriculum for high school students to provide an introduction to the industry. Workforce Committee

The Workforce Committee is charged with identifying strategies and initiatives to address workforce challenges in the crane, rigging, and specialized transportation industries. The committee develops resources and tools to promote careers in the trades and make recommendations to the SC&RF Board for approval. Additionally, the committee works to establish and oversee programs that connect with students, educators, and career seekers, including developing curriculum and outreach initiatives to inspire the next generation of skilled workers. How To Join A Committee

Be sure to share your desire to volunteer with staff. The first step to joining is to attend a committee meeting you’re interested in. Once there, introduce yourself to members, and be sure to familiarize yourself with the issues they’re addressing. Staff can help point you in the right direction and answer any questions.
