2019 – 2023 Strategic Plan
The SC&R Foundation’s activities are guided by a strategic plan. The strategic plan identifies the Foundation’s core interests, key strategies and objectives, and when appropriate, directs the approach to evaluating the effectiveness of its work. The Foundation generally undertakes a review and update of its strategic plan every four to six years. The last strategic plan was completed in 2019.That plan resulted in changes to the Foundation’s approach and philanthropic model.
The SC&R Foundation’s new mission statement is:
The SC&R Foundation, a nonprofit organization serving the crane, rigging and specialized transport industry, supports workforce development, provides educational assistance and conducts research to advance growth and opportunities within the industry.
The 2019 – 2023 Strategic Plan outlines the following objectives:
- Expand Foundation’s role as a workforce development advocate through Lift & Move, Educational giving and awareness activities, and retention best practices
- Produce advocacy driven research to benefit the Association and members
- Build and reinforce strategic alliances with like organizations to promote workforce development
- Develop strategic communications and branding campaigns to increase awareness of the organization throughout the industry
- Stabilize funding for grants and scholarships
- Analyze, reorganize and restructure committees and bylaws to meet five-year objectives
