Scholarships to be used for Diesel Tech certifications and Crane Operator course

Arielle Simms, who works as an excavator and dozer operator, will use her scholarship to take a crane operator course.

The Specialized Carries & Rigging Foundation announces the recipients of its Vocational/Technical scholarships. These individuals were selected from applications submitted by February 28, 2020.

Caiden Lee, Clearwater, Fla., was awarded a $2,500 Anderson Trucking Continuing Education Scholarship to obtain multiple ASE certifications in Diesel Systems Technician I and II at Pinellas Technical College. He works as a mechanic assistant at R and S Motorsports in Largo, Fla.

Arielle Simms, Sabine Pass, Texas, was awarded 50 percent tuition for a CICB Crane Operator Course through the Partners in Education program. She works as an excavator and dozer operator for Entact LLC, a soil remediation company in Sabine Pass.
