Six Grant Winners Announced; June 30th Deadline Approaches
(June 6, 2018)– The SC&R Foundation has announced its grant winners from the April round totaling $8,400. The winners are:
Shane Bates, recipient of the Pink Truck/JK Continuing Education Grant, will use his grant towards a diesel mechanics course.
David Perez, recipient of the Austin Esary Memorial Grant, will use his funds for a welding technology course.
Logan Goddard, Taylor Crane, recipient of the Cookinham Memorial Grant, will use his funds to attend a NCCCO certification prep course and take the NCCCO exam.
Partners in Education have donated seats in their training courses to be granted through the SC&R Foundation. Selected to receive CICB seats are: Jimmy Lara (CICB Rigger I and II courses); Justin Schurosky (CICB Mobile Crane Cert Program 50% of course); and Jaime Mayorquin (CICB Lattice Boom Prep Course).
In addition to funds, the Foundation has numerous seats available donated by their Partners in Education. The Foundation encourages SC&RA members to assist employees with the application or spread the word regarding the seats available with CICB, ATS, and ITI.
