Invite a Workforce Ambassador to Your Next Career Fair
Lift & Move recently launched a Workforce Ambassador program! This is a group of companies committed to raising industry awareness through community engagement. What does this mean for the students and educators? Workforce Ambassadors are companies who are looking to provide classroom presentations, attend career fairs, host facility visits, and more! To review a list of Workforce Ambassadors in your area visit https://liftandmoveusa.scr-foundation.org/workforce-ambassador-program-copy/.
If you would like help finding a company in your area to participate with your class/school, contact the Lift & Move program by emailing jroskos@scranet.org.
Over half the crane, rigging and specialized transport companies employ a union labor force. Union reps are also available to attend career fairs and speak to students about the opportunities and apprenticeship programs through your local union. If you haven't made this connection - now is the time!
Several unions with many specialties are required to complete large projects such as bridges, amphitheaters, and stadiums. These unions work together to complete projects that you see in major cities such as stadiums.
